Auto Match
AI job matching that refuses bad matches
Auto Match is CoBlack’s AI job matching engine: it scores every discovered opening against your Career Capability Map, explains the score, and enforces a fit gate, so CoBlack applies only where you genuinely belong.

A job match score you can read
Every opening Auto Search finds is scored against your capabilities across the dimensions that decide real fit: skills, tools, experience, market, and culture. The result is a job match score you can open and read, which skills aligned, where the gaps are, why this role and not that one. Matching runs at roughly 98 percent accuracy, and your profile is weighed against a pool that has passed 1.2 million jobs.
Capabilities, not keywords
Keyword matching is why job seekers drown in nonsense: share one word with a posting and the board calls it a match. Auto Match works from your Career Capability Map instead, the structured picture of what you can do that CoBlack builds from your resume and your answers. It reads what the opening needs and what you offer, not whether two strings collide.
The fit gate is the feature
Scoring is table stakes; the standard is what matters. CoBlack will not apply to an opening that falls below your fit bar, no matter how many applications that costs. Volume never replaces quality, your name never lands on an application that wastes a recruiter’s time, and the interviews that come back are for jobs you would actually take. That restraint is rarer than it should be, and it is why the fit gate leads every comparison we publish.
Matching that improves as you do
The more complete your profile, the sharper the scores. Co-B, CoBlack’s built-in assistant, walks you through the gaps: the skills you forgot to claim, the experience buried in your work history. Update the profile and every future score reflects it.
Questions, answered
What is a job match score?
A job match score measures how well an opening fits your actual capabilities: skills, tools, experience, market, and culture. In CoBlack, every discovered job gets one, scored at roughly 98 percent accuracy against your Career Capability Map, and you can open any score to read exactly why the job fits or does not.
What happens to jobs below the fit bar?
CoBlack skips them. The fit gate means no application goes out to a role that does not genuinely match, even when that lowers the count. You can still see the scored job and the reasons it fell short.
What is a Career Capability Map?
The structured picture CoBlack builds of what you can do: your skills, tools, experience depth, and preferences, extracted from your resume and sharpened by a short back and forth with Co-B. It is what jobs are matched against, and what your tailored resumes are written from.
Can I see why a job was matched?
Yes. Every match is explained: which of your capabilities aligned, how strongly, and where the gaps are. No black box scores.
