Where CoBlack comes from

In January 2025, our founder departed his prior role and started his own search. Nearly five hundred applications later, he knew the truth every job seeker learns: the process is not built for people. The forms repeat themselves. The listings are expired before you find them. The rejections arrive in silence, when they arrive at all.

So he built the tool he needed and could not find. The first version came together in a month. It worked. Friends asked to use it, and it worked for them too. That tool became CoBlack.

The name says what we are. Co is the company you do not have when you need it most. Black is the dark place unemployment puts you in. CoBlack is a companion for that place, not a cure. The name is a promise: you do not go through this alone.

Built for the little guy

Look at where the money flows in hiring. Job boards sell visibility and recruiter seats to employers. Applicant tracking systems sell filtering to employers. Even the platforms that are free to the seeker earn their revenue from advertising and hiring-side subscriptions, which makes the seeker the inventory, not the customer.

CoBlack points the other way. The job seeker is the customer, full stop. You pay a flat, honest price or nothing at all, and everything the product does, sourcing real openings, checking fit, writing a fresh resume for each application, applying while you sleep, is done in your interest, because there is no one else paying us to see it differently.

We hold one truth above the rest: the true cost of unemployment is not the unemployment. It is what it does to the people who love you. CoBlack is built for the seeker, and for the partner, the parents, the children, and the friends who carry what they cannot fix.

How we operate

CoBlack Corp is a Delaware C Corporation serving the US and Canada. We run our own self-hosted AI models: your data is used for inference only, it never trains shared models, and it is never sold. There are no ads in the app, nothing is upsold on top, and pricing stays flat, never metered by credits or tokens.

Human first is not a slogan here, it is the operating rule. Technology serves people, never the other way around. CoBlack walks beside the job seeker and never replaces them. Every match is explained, every answer is truthful, and every application is one you could stand behind in the interview.

You will never be the product: not to advertisers, not to recruiters, not to a model-training pipeline. You are the customer, and that is the whole business model.
