Their homepage claims 750,000 users and a 4.8 out of 5 rating across more than 40,000 App Store reviews. The product is built around a single mechanic: users swipe on jobs from a feed, and Sprout generates a tailored resume and cover letter for each one and submits the application.
What Sprout offers
Sprout aggregates job listings from major job boards and company career pages, then presents them in a card-swipe feed. Three plans cover the range: Basic at $19.99 per month for 80 applications, Pro at $39.99 per month for 200 applications, and Ultra at $79.99 per month for 600 applications. All three tiers include the same feature set. The differentiation between tiers is volume, not access.
A friction point surfaces early. After completing a detailed onboarding form, new users are prompted to choose a paid plan before accessing core features. There is no meaningful free trial. The single verified Trustpilot review of usesprout.com describes the experience as a bait and switch, noting that users invest significant time in setup then face a payment wall before any job applications are processed. The Trustpilot score is 3.2. Sprout has not responded to the review. For a tool that handles your professional documents and submits applications in your name, that gap between the first impression and the first paywall matters.
Where the jobs actually come from
Both Sprout and CoBlack automate applying. The structural difference is sourcing. The reader who swipes and the reader who waits for interviews are not always the same person. CoBlack is for the second one.
